I am Claire, Head of Primary Education at Cambridge Online Education Group, and I have the privilege of leading the Prep School/Primary School at CHS and Queen’s Online School. I have been a qualified teacher since 2005 and have had the privilege of working with children across a wide range of ages, abilities and educational settings.
I firmly believe that every child is an individual, with their own unique strengths, interests, needs and aspirations. For me, the most effective teaching begins with getting to know each child, building positive relationships and creating an environment where they feel valued, understood and confident to learn. I love interacting with children and believe that strong, trusting relationships are at the heart of successful education.
Throughout my career, I have enjoyed seeing children develop not only in knowledge and understanding, but also in maturity, confidence and self-belief. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a child discover what they are capable of and grow into a confident, independent learner. I feel privileged to witness that journey every day.
I have held a variety of leadership and teaching roles throughout my career, including Head of English, Director of Studies and Assistant Head. I have also taught a range of foreign languages, including French, Italian and Spanish, giving me broad experience of different subjects, curricula and approaches to learning.
Outside of education, I enjoy horse riding, walking my dogs, camping and, most importantly, spending time with my children.
