Holistic Health & Wellbeing Curriculum

In partnership with The Mindful Movement Mission

Supporting your child’s emotional wellbeing, confidence and growth — from science to soul.

At the heart of Queen’s Online School is our school intent: Inspire. Achieve. Belong.

We inspire curiosity through meaningful learning experiences, support every pupil to achieve their very best, and create a strong sense of belonging within a nurturing and inclusive school community where every child is valued.

Wellbeing that supports the whole child

At Queen’s Online School, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, supported and understood. That is why we proudly partner with The Mindful Movement Mission to deliver Science to Soul — an online wellbeing curriculum designed to support young people emotionally, socially and personally, alongside their academic learning.

What is Science to Soul?

Science to Soul is a holistic wellbeing curriculum that helps children understand their emotions, their bodies and how their brain responds to stress. Using ageappropriate language, gentle movement and reflection, pupils learn practical tools they can use every day — at school, at home and in the wider world.

Science to Soul is closely aligned with key areas of the curriculum including PSHE, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), British Values and SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development). This integrated approach supports pupils to develop essential life skills, respectful relationships, ethical understanding and a growing awareness of future pathways and aspirations.

Grounded in science, delivered with care

Our approach is rooted in the science of a young person’s neurological development and nervous system regulation. Pupils are supported to manage big emotions, build calm and focus, and develop confidence and emotional safety in a nurturing environment.

Created and led by Claire McBride, Holistic Health and Education Expert

Science to Soul is led by Claire McBride, founder of The Mindful Movement Mission and Head of Wellbeing Curriculum at Queen’s Online School. Claire’s philosophy is ‘Human First’ — recognising each child as a whole person and empowering them with lifelong emotional regulation and wellbeing skills.
