Karen works on the General Helpdesk at Cambridge Online Education and has been part of the support team since 2019. As the first point of contact for families exploring online education, she provides advice, guidance, and reassurance—especially for those transitioning from traditional classroom settings—ensuring families feel informed and confident in their decision-making.

Karen’s background is in equestrian sport, having spent 15 years as a professional rider before moving into coaching. She later became a trainer and Development Officer for The British Horse Society, an organisation committed to accessible equestrian education for everyone—from professionals to hobbyists. Her experiences there equipped her to handle a wide range of challenges, even though her path to education support was non-traditional.

Outside of work, Karen continues to ride and has recently shifted her freelance coaching work toward postural rehabilitation for sport horses. She thrives on staying curious and continually learning—whether in the saddle or at the helpdesk.
