Having spent over 30 years teaching in both state and independent schools I am an experienced teacher of MFL. Having taught mainly French with some Italian to students from all key stages up to Oxbridge level, I have also enjoyed tutoring small groups and I have delivered bespoke 1-1 tutor examination support lessons in recent years. I have been a subject leader of both French and Italian as well as a pastoral lead for Year 8 pupils. I now also teach adult learners and write content for examinations as well as examining in Italian GCSE and Advanced level.
In my spare time, I am fortunate to live in the Rossendale valley, and we enjoy walking when the weather permits. I also enjoy visiting my son and his family who has followed in family footsteps and is a teacher of German. Music is a passion of mine, I enjoy going to concerts of many types including those of my son who conducts in his town band which is a delight to experience.
