My name is Mr Baker, and I have taught Science and Maths for over 29 years in 4 different co-ed schools. My first specialism and real passion is in Biology, I have a 2:1 (Hons) Degree in Biology from Exeter University. After so many years of teaching GCSE and A level Biology, I am still absolutely fascinated by the natural world, and my students would probably tell you that my enthusiasm for my subject helps to motivate and engage them.
I have held a number of leadership positions, both Director of Science, Head of House and Senior Leadership. I have also had many years’ experience of one-to-one tutoring. Another great passion of mine is cognitive science. I have been in charge of teaching and learning, curriculum and staff training and development for many years.
I like to make lessons fun and engaging, support students to be confident to tackle challenging work and solve problems, and work with students to make great progress by learning new skills and practicing applying their knowledge.
