Exploring Traditional and Digital Media

Overview:

This topic introduces primary school students to the diverse world of art and design through both traditional and digital media. Students will explore various techniques, materials, and tools to create expressive and imaginative artworks. The aim is to nurture creativity, develop technical skills, and foster an appreciation for both traditional and digital art forms.

Key Objectives:

· To understand and experiment with different traditional art techniques and materials, such as drawing, painting, and sculpting.

· To explore digital media and tools, including digital drawing, painting software, and simple graphic design.

· To develop skills in both traditional and digital art forms, recognising the unique qualities and possibilities of each medium.

· To encourage individual expression and creativity through a variety of art projects.

· To appreciate the history and evolution of art and design, including the impact of technology on artistic practices.
